I have practiced Family Law almost exclusively since I started practicing law in l981. This has included mainly helping people with divorces, but also child custody and visitation disputes, child support, spousal support (alimony), litigation with the District Attorney or county over past due child support, problems with court orders from other states transfered here, and guardianships and adoptions.
I become a California licensed Real Estate Broker in 1985 to help me understand the complex financing, purchasing and selling, title problems and property questions pertaining to real estate and family homes that come up in a divorce. I do not sell real estate or buy or sell for clients.
An unfortunate part of divorce practice is representing clients in domestic violence restraining orders or criminal charges, and I have actively represented defendants for 25 years.
